GLYCODUR® A plain bearings also have a steel backing and a 0.2 to 0.4 mm thick sintered layer of tin bronze. The main feature of these bearings is the cover layer of polyoxymethylene (POM), which is firmly anchored in the sintered bronze, is relatively thick at 0.3 mm and has lubrication pockets to accommodate grease. GLYCODUR® A plain bearings are insensitive to misalignment and the associated edge loads to a certain extent.
