HSR guide carriage

The balls run in four precision-ground raceways between a guideway and a carriage, with end plates integrated in the carriage allowing the balls to circulate. Cage plates protect the balls from falling out of the carriage when the carriage is pulled off the rail (except types HSR 8,10 and 12). Due to the arrangement of the rows of balls at a contact angle of 45° each, the compact guideway HSR has equal load ratings in the radial, reverse radial and tangential directions.
In this way, the HSR can be used in various mounting positions. In addition, the carriage can be preloaded, which increases rigidity in the four directions. At the same time, a constant, low coefficient of friction is maintained with constant running properties. Due to the low overall height and high rigidity of the carriage, this type achieves highly accurate and constant linear motion.
