Guide rail SHS

The rows of balls run between the guideway and the carriage in four precision-ground raceways until they are deflected by the end plates on the carriage and finally returned to the load area via the return channel. Each row of balls is arranged at a contact angle of 45°, so that Type SHS has uniform load ratings in all main directions (radial, reverse radial and tangential). This ensures universal applicability of the guide. In addition, the carriage can be preloaded to increase rigidity while maintaining a constant low coefficient of friction. With the low overall height and high rigidity of the carriage, this type enables highly accurate and stable linear motion.
Due to the arrangement of the rows of balls at a contact angle of 45° each, the linear guide SHS has equal load ratings in the radial, reverse radial and tangential directions. In this way, type SHS can be used in various mounting positions for a wide range of applications.
