- Base material: 82% ceramic staple fibers, 18% rayon as carrier fibers, core made of chrome steel wire
- two fixed selvedges
- application temperature 1100° C
- chemical resistance pH 3 - 9
Notes:
- The carrier fibers are necessary for the spinning of ceramics.
- The carrier fiber decomposes above 200°C. Smoke development and flare-up may occur at the first temperature application.
- Loss on ignition approx. 18
- The metal core provides strength after the carrier fiber has decomposed. Under tensile load, the core determines the temperature limit.
