Spherical roller bearings are double-row, self-retaining units comprising solid outer rings with a hollow spherical raceway, solid inner rings and barrel rollers with cages. The inner
rings have cylindrical or tapered bores.
The symmetrical barrel rollers adjust themselves freely on the hollow outer ring raceway.
This compensates for shaft deflections and misalignments of the bearing seats.
The next generation of rolling bearing steel results in improved wear
capacity and longer operating life for all SKF spherical roller bearings, spherical roller thrust bearings, and CARB bearings that can be angularly adjusted
. The bearings are identified by the mark "WR" at the bottom left of
the packaging label.
