Addition-curing silicone rubbers consist of two components. Vulcanization takes place by mixing the two components. In contrast to the condensation-curing RTV-2 silicone rubbers, the vulcanization rate is not controlled by the mixing ratio but by the temperature, and no by-products are formed during vulcanization.
